Giving For Life
A Generous God
As Christians we are called by God to give and live generously.
This will enable God’s work to happen, both in our local community, and church and wider world too.
Christians have a distinctive understanding of giving and sharing; it shapes and changes how we live and informs our decisions and actions; giving is at the heart of faith.
You can’t help but give generously, when you have encountered the Generous God.
How can I give?
The best way is to set up a regular giving plan using Gift Direct, the Church in Wales’ system for making donations via a direct debit.
Please visit the link for full information. If you already use Gift Direct, you can use the link to change the amount you give.
We are, of course, also very happy simply to receive cheques or via a bank transfer. If you would like to donate in that way, please send an email to the PCC Secretary asking for details.
Would you like to support a project?
We recently had to buy a new boiler for Christ Church. Hearing that we needed a new boiler, an enterprising Sunday Club youngster, Dan Evans, set about raising money by making and selling air dried clay hearts. He also set up a crowd funding page. As a result we raised over £3000 of the total cost of £5685. A tremendous achievement; and he had some fun doing it.
We know we need to spend about £50K over the next two to three years bringing our buildings up to scratch (the boiler is not part of that total). If you would like to sponsor part of that work, or set up a project or crowd funding page in a similar way to Dan, then do contact Vicki. There are parts of our buildings which would love to have your name on them.
