From 17 March 2020 – In accordance with the latest guidance from the Bench of Bishops in Wales, all church services and gatherings for public worship are no longer taking place. This includes our regular Sunday services and weekday services.
We are awaiting further information from the government, which will help us all to measure and reflect upon the gravity and potential duration of this cessation. However, given the information we have available to us at present, the ceasing of public worship and gathering is the prudent course of action.
Our usual pattern
Every service takes a different approach to worship but each carries, in its own way, the consistent message of faith, hope and forgiveness.
Wednesdays at 9.30am Holy Eucharist service in the Lady Chapel followed by coffee.
8.00am – Holy Eucharist for those who wish to start the day with a quiet, peaceful service.
11.00am – Sung Eucharist with Sunday Club for children. Children are in church at the beginning and end of the service when they join in the Eucharist and share their learning with the adults.
The service is followed by refreshments and a chance to meet others. Prosecco is served on the first Sunday of the month.
6.00pm – Traditional Evening prayer – a quiet reflective service in the Lady Chapel
Fourth Sunday of the month, Holy Eucharist
(This service moves to St John’s in the summer months)
Thursdays at 11.00am Holy Eucharist followed by coffee.
9.15 am – Sung Eucharist with Sunday Club for children. The Sunday Club begin their activities in the hall but join the Eucharist and share their learning with the adults later in the service. The service is followed by refreshments and a chance to meet others.
