Cardiff Corinthians Football Club

Did you know that there is a football club near you which is second only to Cardiff City FC in the standings in Cardiff, and it is on your doorstep. They are called Cardiff Cointhians, and their home ground is ‘The Riverside Ground Radyr’, (also the home of Radyr Cricket). The Corries as they are effectionately known are the highest placed club in Cardiff, we play in the First Division of the Welsh League.

A BRIEF HISTORY.

We are one of the oldest clubs in Wales, the club was founded in 1898 and has played in many parts of Cardiff before settling in Radyr in 1974. We have had several players who have played for us over the years including Tom Forse, Richie Morgan (ex Cardiff City player & manager) Nick Deacy (ex Cardiff City) & Graham Vearncombe ((ex Cardiff City & Welsh International goalkeeper).

The most remarkable fact about the Corries is that the club is, in 2008 the same as it has always been – 100 per cent amatuer.
