Litter and Grit Bins

Our County Councillor, Rod Mckerlich is preparing an application to the local authority to provide additional litter and grit bins around the village. He would like some input into positioning these bins and would like suggestions from residents. Again these suggested locations will be placed on the website to develop a comprehensive list.

The question has been asked about dog waste. This can be placed in the litter bins as long as it is the special green disposable bags. A stock of these bags can be found in the library.

The following areas have been suggested:

Radyr Gardens – Ffordd y Berllan, Ffordd Treforgan, Cuckoo Close, Maes y Croft near Heol y Cwm

Maes y Gwair, Meadowfield Way, Heol y Cwm.

The Chantry – 2 just over the railway bridge

Fisher Hill Way junction with De Clare Drive

Penrhos near the cut through,

Min y Coed – 2-one at the top bend near Cilfdw. the second bottom end of Min y Coed.

Ty Mynnydd

Dan y Bryn Avenue – Radyr woods entrance.

Bottom of Hazel Tree Close – near the woods.
