Taff Trail creatures in Station Road
Keith receives his award
At the last meeting of the Station Road Traders Association, the traders decided to congratulate Keith John for designing the hanging basket brackets which now adorn the shops in Station Road. We have waited a long time for the 15 creatures (all to be found on the Taff Trail) to appear but the traders – and we – are delighted with the result
The creatures, soon to be accompanied by their own hanging baskets, are the final stage of the Station Road ‘regeneration scheme’ organised and paid for by Cardiff Council. Completion of the scheme was also one of the R&M Village Plan projects.
The picture shows Keith John being awarded some baskets of goodies by the acting chairman of the Traders Association, Alan (Veg Vendor), and Matthew White.
We are delighted with the result and congratulate Keith on a superb piece of public art which should rank alongside the the famous ‘animal wall’ in Cardiff Castle!
