Remembrance Day

Young people on parade
The 2011 Armistice Day parade was bigger than ever, with lots of young people representing guides, brownies, scouts, and cubs. The parade was led by the City of Cardiff Melingriffith Band conducted by Colin Evans. A very large crowd stood around the War Memorial as the wreathes were laid on behalf of many service organisations. Col David Suthers introduced the organisations whilst the salute was taken by Lt Col Guy Clarke, and all the churches were represented for the short service. The police were out in force making sure that the traffic did not interrupt a very professional and moving ceremony.
