The Radyr Chain is compiled and distributed by a group of volunteers, and concerns itself with matters of local interest. Following the stepping down of the previous Editor and key volunteers, and a consultation exercise with residents, the support for continuation of the Chain was clear and a new Editorial Board was formed. Whilst the aim of the Board is to continue a print newspaper, delivered free to all houses in Radyr and Morganstown, all aspects of the paper including timing and submission processes are now under review. The initial commitment is for 2 editions, one before Christmas 2024 and a second from this new team before the May Festival in 2025.
Contributions (and indication of possible future articles where content is not yet prepared) can continue to be sent to chain@radyr.org.uk at any time – The deadline for the next edition will be 15 February 2025 for a March 2025 publication date.
The Editorial Board wishes to reiterate that the Chain is always keen to include articles from local associations and clubs or individuals with a story to share, and any contribution is most welcome, whether from clubs or individuals.
