LATCH – the Charity for children with cancer, has been selected as the village Festival charity for 2013/14. At the recent tree lighting ceremony bucket and stall collections amounted to £469. This was quickly followed by donations from our two local schools’ Christmas concerts. Bryn Deri donated £823 and Radyr Primary School £500. A further £92 was donated by the Cardiff Morris Dance group organised by David Silver and £30 from The Orchard tea house in Park Road.
It is a very big thank you to our generous community for all these donations to a very worthy cause, who will feature in our forthcoming Festival celebrations in May.
