How much would you pay for policing?
Did you know that your Police & Crime Commissioner is responsible for setting the South Wales Police budget and deciding what further funds need to be raised from the additional charge on council tax?
This is called the police ‘precept’ and accounts for nearly one half of South Wales Police’s funding – the rest comes from the Government. In setting the precept, the Commissioner consults with the local electorate – you.
Here’s your opportunity to have a say about how much you pay…
The ‘Our Police, Our Community’ survey has now been launched.
It would be great if you could take part because your feedback will help the Commissioner decide what the South Wales public will pay for policing in 2024/25.
It takes just a couple of minutes to complete and it closes on Monday, 18 December.
