Radyr Woods

Radyr Woods, Nature Reserve and Amenity Area, Prince of Wales Award, Winner of the Jubilee Award 1985. Recognised by The Shell Better Britain Campaign

Covers 14 acres and includes a wide variety of wildlife habitats and features including ponds, springs, grassy glades and heathland with over 75 species of wildflowers. Visitors are welcome at any time and pedestrian access is unrestricted – from within Radyr the Nature Reserve can be reached via Woodfield Avenue or Taff Terrace. Managed by a group of official volunteer wardens. New recruits (male and female and of all ages) welcome.
