Christmas Tree Lighting 2015
As usual trees were lit in Morganstown Granny Park, Lychgate Gardens and in Windsor Gardens by the Festival Queen and her attendants. Children from Bryn Deri went to Morganstown and from Radyr Primary to Lychgate Gardens where they sang carols. They joined together in Windsor Gardens where choirs from both schools sang together. Everyone then moved to Station Road where the Lord Mayor of Cardiff, Cllr David Walker addressed the crowd and then switched on the lights. Santa then arrived and was immediately surrounded by young children. Everyone enjoyed wandering around the shops and visiting the many craft and gift stalls. As usual the BBQ and Mulled Wine Bar were busy from the start of the event until it finished. A big thank you to everyone who helped make the event so successful.
