Wild Salmon Diary at Radyr Weir!

This season’s wild salmon and sea trout run has started at Radyr Weir. The fish are jumping on their journey back to their spawning streams near the Beacons … the the Grey Herons and Cormorants are waiting for their chance to fatten up for the winter! Don’t miss one of our wildlife wonders.

The salmon ladder on the Taff Trail side helps the fish to pass the weir and you can sometimes see fish entering it.
