Celebrating 25 years of friendship between Radyr & Morganstown and St Philbert de Grand Lieu
Summer 2010 saw the silver anniversary of our Declaration of Friendship which was signed in St Philbert in 1985.
To mark these 25 years, there was a special ceremony to re-affirm and confirm the strength of our bond of friendship and the continued commitment between our two communities. There was an exchange of gifts and you can see photographs of them here.
St Philbert gave the Twinning Fellowship a decorated metal cockerel which is holding a leek and a daffodil under one wing. They gave R&M Community Council a ceramic mosaic. Both these pieces have now been displayed in Morganstown Village Hall by Cllr Mike Diment.
R&M Community Council had made an engraved Welsh steel bakestone which will be taken to St Philbert for presentation on the next visit.
