News from the Community Council : Results of Council Elections

On 15th May the Community Council held its annual meeting. The following Councillors were elected as Chair and Vice-Chair for 2008-9

Chair of Council: David Silver Vice Chair: Rachel Granger

The Community Council is an elected body serving the three wards of Radyr South, Radyr North and Morganstown. At the elections two weeks ago the Councillors elected by ward were:

Morganstown: Mike Diment Ron Eccles David Silver

Radyr North: Rachel Granger Sue Philpott David Suthers

Radyr South: Margaret Lloyd Judith Marsh

There are currently three vacancies for new Councillors, one in each of the three wards. The Finance Committee and the Environment Committee undertake the main work of the Council. They feed information into the main Community Council meeting, which is held on the fourth Thursday of each month (except August and December). All meetings of the Community Council are open to the public and time is set aside for you to raise issues with the members. The next meeting will be held at 7.30pm on Thursday 26th June in the Old Church Rooms.
