The film show on Friday was well attended for the showing of the crowning of the Queen in 1953. Saturday, animals were blessed by Rev Keiran Webster at Ty Gwyn Farm. Sunday saw a number of street parties, despite the rain.

Monday, the weather was good and several hundred residents attended the concert at Radyr Golf Club and watched the fireworks display to the music of the Royal Fireworks Overture played by 50 members of the Welsh College of Music. A full programme of bands and choirs entertained the large crowd, whilst they consumed their picnic meals.

150 children packed into Morganstown Village Hall for the Jubilee party.
