The Drama Society’s last production was Sailor Beware-<\/em> a \u201dClassic Comedy\u201d from the 1950’s. It was<\/span> performed at Morganstown Village Hall from Thurs Nov 24th to 26th 2011.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The play takes place over two days, the day before and the day of Shirley\u2019s wedding to sailor Albert Tufnell. Shirley\u2019s mother Emma, has had no help with the preparation from her hen pecked husband, Henry. She also blames Henry for introducing Shirley to Albert, of whom she certainly does not approve. Add a batty sister-in-law, a nosy neighbour, a Scottish best man who\u2019s afraid of women and a scheming bridesmaid, together with a dose of the measles and you have all the ingredients for a classic British farce.<\/p>\n
