We were happy to welcome Elaine Olsen to committee. She hopefully will give a younger aspect during meetings. As you can see once again we are a small committee and would be glad of any input from members throughout the year either through a committee member or through the Twinning email.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:jummelagestphilbert@hotmail.co.uk\">jummelagestphilbert@hotmail.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Saturday 15th October<\/b><\/p>\n<p>A successful Wine Tasting event. 65 members attended and a good night was had by all. A big THANK YOU to Bob, Maggie and Raymond for their hard work.<\/p>\n<p><b>Saturday 3<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0December<\/b>\u00a0our Christmas Dinner Dance at Radyr Golf Club 7pm for 7.30pm \u00a324 per head. 44 members have already booked their place so if you haven\u2019t already done so book yours now. Just a reminder of the menu choice;<\/p>\n<p><b>Starters<\/b>\u00a0Melon and Serrano Ham or Smoked Trout with Rhubarb Chutney and Mixed Leaves<\/p>\n<p><b>Main<\/b>\u00a0Poached Salmon Fillet with Parsley Veloute or Slow Braised Lamb Shank with red wine, rosemary and redcurrant.<\/p>\n<p><b>Dessert<\/b>\u00a0traditional Homemade Christmas Pudding with Brandy sauce or Baileys Pannacotta with chocolate curls<\/p>\n<p>Freshly brewed coffee or tea with homemade mince pies.<\/p>\n<p><b>Menu choice to be given when booking place.<\/b>\u00a0As requested at the AGM an extended bar licence has been obtained an dancing is to the Fraser Lawson Disco.<\/p>\n<p><b>Saturday March 3<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a02012<\/b>\u00a0Twinning Progressive Supper. These have always proved to be very popular especially when the French are visiting but the committee felt that this would be an ideal time to reintroduce just for the Radyr &amp; Morganstown Twinners.<\/p>\n<p><b>Friday 11<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0May 2012<\/b>\u00a0Caf\u00e9 Jazz as part of the Festival celebrations we will be putting this event on for the whole community our thanks once again to Raymond and Cube for their time and support. Look out for further details in the festival programme.<\/p>\n<p><b>Tuesday 15<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0May 2012<\/b>\u00a0School Boule to be held this year at Radyr Primary further details in the festival programme.<\/p>\n<p>It is hoped that as many members as possible can attend these functions as your support is needed for the Twinning to grow and prosper. As a result of the lack of support for the adult boule tournament it has been decided not to put on this event but to concentrate on the school boule which is always well supported.<\/p>\n<p><b>Friday May 25th, 2012<\/b>\u00a0at about 6 pm the French Twinners will arrive and leave on\u00a0<b>Monday, May 28th, 2012<\/b>\u00a0early morning.<\/p>\n<p>A programme for the visit is already in hand with a trip to Penderyn Whisky booked for Saturday morning and a picnic\/race event at Morgannstown on Sunday evening. The committee will look into the members suggestions given during the AGM at the next meeting.<\/p>\n<p>A suggestion was also put forward for the members\u2019 consideration regarding our next visit to St. Philbert. This was to look at going by coach but departing a day earlier and returning a day later.
