Cardiff’s Proposals for Radyr & Morganstown – an update

Simon Gilbert, Head of Planning for Cardiff Council, spoke about Cardiff’s Replacement Local Development Plan and the consultation process at a well-attended joint R&MCC/RMLDG meeting on 10th March.  He confirmed that the current proposals mean there will be no major direct impact on the R&M Community beyond the continued development of Plasdŵr, and we will largely be protected by a ‘Green Wedge’ across the top of Cardiff.  Peter Fortune and Angela Gray, of the R&M Local Development Group, provided further background information.

There were a number of questions but all agreed that this was good news for R&M. However, the Plan is now out for public consultation and there could still be opposition to some of the proposals. Mr Gilbert therefore stressed the importance of people submitting comments, on any aspect of the plan.
